cartographic and web-design services to the environmental and planning communities.  We offer expertise in

Adapting to Rising Tides - Transportation Vulnerability and
Risk Assessment Pilot Project.
Geografika Consulting, as a subconsultant to AECOM Technical
Services, was charged with creating a series of maps and graphics to
assist in telling the story of potential impacts to sea level rise (SLR) for
Alameda County.

The project management team consisted of representatives from the San
Francisco Bay Conservation and Development Commission (BCDC), the
Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC), and the California
Department of Transportation District 4 (Caltrans). Additional
subconsultants included ARCADIS, and 3-D Visions.

The purpose of this pilot project was to enable the region's transportation
planners to improve vulnerability and risk assessment practices to SLR.
This project was one of five pilot projects being carried out across the
country, and tested the Federal Highway Administration's Risk Assessment
model in identifying potential transportation assets most exposed to
threat from climate change.  The
